About me

Hi there! Welcome to my website.
I'm a software engineer @ Microsoft :D
ITESM CSF Computer Science Alumni
I love cats.

My projects

A curated list of projects I've woked on.

Spirographs

A while ago I made a math project about predicting the arc length of a certain king of spirograph. This involved making a program to draw them and compare the calculated arc length against the measured arc length.

3D Spirographs

After developing a deep interest in spirographs I've made a lot of related projects. These are some of the latest ones.

Window IoT Navigation Robot

Back in 2017 I spent 12 weeks as a intern in Microsoft working with one of the coolest teams: Windows IoT. This is the result.

Air Traffic 3D Visualization

I love airplanes and enjoy playing with my ADS-B receiver. I made this map to visualize my antenna's range. The map is centered over Mexico City.

Social networks

I've made a couple social networks for school projects. All of them share the same name: Chirper (a kind nod to Cities: Skylines). The first big one consited of a cross between Reddit and Twitter. The second one, several times more ambitious, aimed to be a combination of Twitter and Yik Yak, where posts are geographically limited but can grow based on popularity. Sadly, due to the cost of keeping them up only the source code is available.

WebGL experiments

I love using WebGL (with three.js) to make cool 3D web applications.

That time I was featured in Hack-A-Day

This one is old but still makes me proud. I made a clock inside an "egg" for an Instructables contest.

I love FIRST Robotics

Not a project per se. But I need to add this. I currently volunteer in a couple events, and you should too!
I made and maintain a map with current teams:

Woodworking & crafts

This is more of a hobby but worthy of appearing here. I love building stuff: desks, drawers, boxes, lamps, ornaments, legos, model aircraft and 3-meter-tall steel geodesic balls, among other things...
